Keira Portman or Natalie Knightley?

So, we know that there has been a long standing argument that Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley look freakishly similar and have had some similar roles in movies and even Keira even played the double of Queen Amidala in *shudder* The Phantom Menace…

It looks like they just aren’t even trying anymore. The new movie Your Highness comes out next month and honestly it looks pretty bad to me. I loved Pineapple Express (despite some parts) but this just looks bad. I understand its supposed to be a funny medieval adventure movie but why take the one person that looks just like Keira Knightley and make her character look exactly like the one in King Arthur (Which I thought was a great movie)?

Time will only tell if this movie flops or not and I might even see it when it comes to our local $1 theater but definitely not until then.

New “Biblical” Comic By Darren Aronofsky?

Looks like the director of The Wolverine has another idea milling about in his brain. He wants to take the story of Noah and turn it into a comic book. Apparently he has been quoted as saying that “He’s a dark, complicated character” and he wants to tell his story. If you check out the movie he definitely has some great art(Sorry it is in French) and I am all for more (well done) comics being made out of Bible stories. However, I wonder if this will take a wrong turn and make a brooding, all too dark, character out of Noah. Only time will tell.

Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy In the Next Batman!

Looks like the rumors were true. Anne Hathaway will be playing the sultry Catwoman and Tom Hardy will be playing the bruiser-type as Bane. The main question I have right now is, why Anne Hathaway?

As Michelle Pfeiffer taught us in Batman Returns, Catwoman is supposed to be a sexy and seductive villain that toys with Batman in the way a cat toys with a mouse before chowing down. I just can’t get past seeing Anne Hathaway as the little princess in The Princess Diaries… I understand she has had some other movies that were pretty good. I personally thought that The Devil Wears Prada was a decent film. I just don’t think that she is that great of a choice for this role. I hope that she proves me wrong and turns out to be a great Catwoman. God knows we don’t need this film to be the anchor that weighs down this excellent series of films.

As far as Tom Hardy playing Bane… I loved him in Inception. He’s not huge like Bane should be but I’m sure they will try and fix that. They can’t do any worse than the Bane in Batman & Robin. Well, they could but I think the world would explode if that trash was ever topped. What do you guys think? Will this be a good choice or just a mediocre one?
