Settlers of McDonalds? What?

Found this on Board Game Geek the other day. Sure it pokes fun at our hobby but the most important thing is that is pokes even bigger fun at Monopoly. Isn’t that the most important thing here.

Added Some Great New Games You Should Check Out

While I haven’t had a lot of time recently to add too much to the store I do have some games of note that I think you should check out.

1. Blokus Trigon

This is a great twist on the original. You and up to three other players take turns placing down oddly shaped see through pieces on a grey board. The kicker is that you can only place a piece if it touches a corner of your other pieces. This keeps going until either you run out of pieces or until you can’t place any more on the board. This is a great thinking game and it should be in anyone’s collection.

2. Chang Cheng

This is a beautiful game from Z-Man Games full of “goober” or components for those of you who don’t follow The Spiel podcast. In this game you take turns with other player building the Great Wall of China for your emperor. You gain positive or negative points depending on where you place the wall. I.E. if you place the piece for the wall on the Mongol’s side then you will gain random negative points. It is a pretty light game but lots of fun for the family and gamers alike.

3. Heart of Africa

I must say that I have not had a chance to play this great trading game yet. It has caught some good attention though. I think the map board and pieces are very nice looking as well.

I have a lot of other games for sale and if you ever need to ask any questions about them please feel free to shoot me a line or leave a comment about what games you love to play.
